Classroom News and Notes

Week of May 20th

It is so hard to believe that we are at the last week of school already! Thank you for a wonderful year. I hope you have a relaxing summer! 

This week…

Religion- This week we will learn about Jesus’ ascension (I jumped ahead in last week’s note) and his disciples work after that. 

Memory Work-    

Tuesday- “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations,baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28: 19,20 (intentional repeat from last week as Jesus spoke these words at his ascension)

Friday-  Last day!!!   

Math- We will wrap up our current units and play some math games. Practice those math facts this summer! 

Spelling- We will have some classroom spelling bees this week!   

Reading- We will work through a couple of Scholastic News magazines this week. Please be sure to read all summer!                 

MAP Testing- I’m so proud of how much each student has grown this year! Results will be sent home with their final report cards on Thursday. 

Thank You- Thank you for all of the wonderful Teacher Appreciation Week cards, gifts, treats, and words of encouragement. I feel so spoiled and am so blessed to have your student in my class!
